Randombird have produced three short films over the past 4 years and have a passion for short filmmaking.
Our Shorts
Alongside our production work, Randombird makes its own short films, with stories that put strong, resilient and determined women at their heart.
There’s Fliss in The Walled Garden, a volunteer gardener with a passion for sustainability; Beth in Write Off, an independent screenwriter determined to forge her own path; and Anna in Sister Anna, fighting to win back her family’s estate in the 1800s. Different women, different worlds, but each refusing to be easily defeated.
The films have been selected for festivals including Rhode Island International Film Festival, Bolton Film Festival, Cheltenham International Film Festival, Carmarthen Bay Film Festival and Lady Filmmakers Festival. Write Off won Best Screenplay at Worcester Film Festival, while the films have also received recognition from the British Short Film Awards, with Sister Anna continuing its festival journey in 2026.
All three were made independently, with the familiar challenge of making the ambition on screen rather bigger than the budget behind it.
